Thanks to the generosity of our Marymount families, the inaugural 2008-09 Parents Project successfully provided our students with a new Media Lab. The original goal of the Parents Project was to raise $120,000 from current parents, but overwhelming parent interest and support, both locally and internationally, helped push the gift level well above the goal. With a generous matching gift from the Ahmanson Foundation, the campaign raised over $170,000 in four short months.
The Mac-based computer lab allows students to have access to the new and emerging technology that will make them academically competitive today and in the future. Fourteen new Mac computers, plus software, workstation furniture, a color printer, and move to a larger room in the Administration Building were just some of the new feature of the Media Lab.

As part of the Parents Project campaign, Wayne and Maria Grau hosted “An Evening on the Hill” in their home. The event represented the culmination of the Parents Project fundraising and a celebration of the success of the campaign.
