Marymount College parents came together on Saturday, October 17 and raised over $50,000 towards last year’s Parents Project, Sciences Alive!
The Parents Project Kick-Off Reception was hosted by Stuart and Elaine Godin at their beautiful home in Manhattan Beach. Parents and guests were treated to a fiesta style buffet from Mijares Restaurant provided by the De Lang family and a special performance by Marymount College President Dr. Michael S. Brophy and sophomore Brandon Rhea. Renderings of this year’s project, a new student plaza at the Palos Verdes North housing complex, were revealed for the first time to parents. Special guest Kathy Baker, actress and Marymount mom, spoke about the importance of last year’s project to enhance student housing. The proposed plaza will create a community space for all students where they can gather together to socialize, study, and experience the collaborative learning environment that makes Marymount unique. Please make a gift Today and continue the tradition of the Parents Project to improve our students’ Marymount experience..
