New Database Trials

List Weight:
5

In an effort to develop a library collection that meets the needs of course curriculum and student research, the library obtains trials of electronic databases in the various disciplines for review.  We encourage faculty and students  to "test drive" the resources listed below and to provide comments to Mary McMillan after exploring the database.  Please note that the complementary trials are only available for a specific time period as indicated in the descriptions.

EBL Ebook Library

An ebook library with over 180000 titles available.  Books can be read online or downloaded for reading on e-readers or tablet devices that support Adobe Digital Editions (not compatible with Kindle). After you have used EBL a little bit, please let us know your thoughts by completing this survey.

Trial ends May 26, 2012.

Oxford Bibliographies Online

OBO is a library of disciplined-based subject modules. In each subject module, leading scholars have produced a literary guide to the most important and significant sources in an area of study they know best. The guides feature a selective list of bibliographic citations supported by direct recommendations about which sources to consult. Each topic has a unique editorial commentary to show how the cited sources are interrelated. The citations promote discoverability as they link out to the sources via WorldCat and/or Google Books.  After you have reviewed OBO, please let us know your thoughts by completing this survey or just send an email.

Trial ends May 27, 2012.
