Adjunct Instructors - Chemistry

With campuses on Southern California’s picturesque Palos Verdes Peninsula and in the vibrant urban community of San Pedro in Los Angeles, Marymount College is a student-centered, Catholic learning environment for students of all faiths who seek to transform their lives and achieve their academic, professional and life goals. Marymount College offers Associate degree and Bachelor’s degree programs in Business, Media Studies, Liberal Arts, and Psychology, and is gearing up to offer graduate programs in Leadership and Community Development (M.S.) and Community Psychology (M.S.) effective Fall 2013. The College values a holistic, interdisciplinary approach in all programs.
 
We are currently inviting applications to build our adjunct faculty pool in Chemistry in order to cover a variety of lecture and lab sections for the summer, fall and spring semesters.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
 Minimum of Master’s degree in Chemistry, preferably Physical or Analytical Chemistry.
 

 Applicants should demonstrate a deep commitment to teaching and close interaction with students from diverse backgrounds, as well as an appreciation for the traditions of a Catholic college. 

 A record of successful undergraduate teaching.

Experience with Learning Management System (D2L, Moodle, Blackboard) a plus.
 
REMUNERATION:
Master’s degree $1,200.00 per unit                  Ph.D. $1,500.00 per unit
