With campuses on Southern California’s picturesque Palos Verdes Peninsula and in the vibrant urban community of San Pedro in Los Angeles, Marymount College is a student-centered, Catholic learning environment for students of all faiths who seek to transform their lives and achieve their academic, professional and life goals. Marymount College offers Associate degree and Bachelor’s degree programs in Business, Media Studies, Liberal Arts, and Psychology, and is gearing up to offer graduate programs in Leadership and Community Development (M.S.) and Community Psychology (M.S.) effective Fall 2013. Field-based action research sites in the urban community of San Pedro and in the rural community of Lake County (Northern California) provide opportunities for faculty and students to collaborate and contribute to the literature on action research and community development.  A new campus in Lake County will educate regional undergraduate and graduate students in the near future. Executive Director, Lake County Campus
Position available July 1, 2013
 
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead all operational and administrative work at Marymount College extension campus in Lucerne, CA (Lake County).
 
Serve as a liaison in the community.
 
Work closely with central administrative offices to support the extension campus and advocate for campus needs.
 
Provide orientation to all students and employees at the site.
  
Supervise site staff.
 
Serve as a resource for all faculty at the site.
 
Work with contracted services serving the site and serve as liaison with owner of site facility.
 
Serve as project manager for capital improvements at the site.
 
Serve on President’s Cabinet.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred. Successful applicant will have a minimum of three years leadership experience in a higher education setting including experience with staff development, community relations, technology projects, and student service.
