Program Basics
The Marymount Advantage will take students on a journey beyond classroom instruction, building on their critical and reflective thinking skills. Students will participate in experiential learning opportunities that help develop life skills, analytical ability and diverse perspectives in order to become a well-rounded student.
The Marymount Advantage is a co-curricular graduation requirement at Marymount and is composed of five Advantage Areas: Diversity, Leadership, Service, Spirituality and Wellness. These areas are interconnected with the academic curriculum and students will earn 30 co-curricular credits each year at experiences of their choosing. Once a semester, students will reflect upon their co-curricular experiences as they build their eportfolio and co-curricular transcripts. Through participation in the Marymount Advantage a student will gain a well balanced co-curricular experience that will help build skills for employment, future education and civic responsibility.
