Wireless Internet
Wireless internet access is now available throughout the entire Marymount Campuses (RPV and San Pedro) as well as PV North and PV West. To use the wireless network you will need to connect to our network and use your Marymount username and password to log in.
Our goal is to make the process as simple as possible while maintaining a high level of security for Marymount's existing network. if you need help connecting to the wireless network, please email support@marymountpv.edu to arrange a time to meet with a member of the IT staff.
Requirements
To use the wireless network, a laptop installed with the following components will be required:
- Windows 7
- Windows Vista
- Windows XP operating system with service pack 2 or 3
- Mac OSX
- Built-in wireless cards are preferred
- Wireless card must be using version 802.11B, G, or N
- If using a PCMCIA type wireless card, the LINKSYS brand is suggested for compatibility
When searching for a wirless network you will see two options. Once is MMC_Students and the other is MMC_Employee. You will choose the one that fits your profile and connect to it. Once connected, you can then open up your web browser and you will be prompt for a username and password. Use the same username/password you would to log into a machine on campus.
