Marymount California’s BA-MS Pathway Program

The BA-MS Pathway program is available for qualified undergraduate students that wish to accelerate their education and begin a professional education program during their senior year. Accepted students will take up to nine units of graduate coursework and complete their master’s degree within the following 15 months.

Students interested in taking advantage of this opportunity must submit a graduate application for admission during their junior year. The Office of Admission is currently accepting fall 2013 applications for the M.S in Community Psychology and the M.S. in Leadership & Community Development.

Students that wish to set a BA-MS educational plan should consult with a Marymount academic advisor.

Community Psychology

The Masters of Science in Community Psychology is a professional graduate program that offers an interdisciplinary education background that exposes students to theory, research, and practice to address complex social issues and promote social justice.

Students interested in understanding, assessing, and influencing human behavior to increase quality of life are well-suited to pursue this applied field. A social ecological framework is used to assess and address social issues (e.g., homelessness, obesity, drug abuse, school drop-out, and violence) to ensure comprehensive social action.

Leadership & Community Development

The Masters of Science in Leadership & Community Development is professional graduate program that offers students an educational background in business leadership for governmental, public, private and not-for profit organizations.
Students interested in obtaining an academic based professional development degree in administrative leadership and social/political development will greatly benefit from this program.  The M.S. in Leadership & Community Development gives a research based education and provides effective practices in business development, social ecology, and organizational structures.
