Our Mission The mission of Counseling Services at Marymount College is to help students to achieve their academic goals through the delivery of timely mental health services and relevant educational programming. Overview of Our Services Counseling Services provides confidential psychological services for enrolled Marymount College students. Counseling Services are provided free to students as part of Marymount’s commitment to a “student centered” educational experience and comprehensive student support. Some of the services we provide are as follows: § Supportive individual counseling § Homesickness, depression and anxiety § Relationship problems § Consultation for concerned friends and families § Mediation for resolution of conflict § Crisis Intervention § Problem solving and decision making § Referral sources § Roommate problems § Alcohol and drug issues § Workshops, presentations and group programs provided |

Making an Appointment Students can make an appointment to meet with a counselor by either calling or visiting us at one of our offices in the Oceanside Building. |

Confidentiality Conversations with a therapist are confidential and cannot be disclosed to anyone without your permission, with a few legal exceptions. Therapy records are kept separate from all other school records and cannot be released without your consent, except under very rare legal circumstances. |
