Marymount Athletics Mission The Department of Athletics is an essential part of Marymount College’s commitment to a values-based education of the whole person. Its mission is to enhance and support the academic purpose of the College and in the spirit of our founders, the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, we challenge our student-athletes to pursue lives of leadership and service. The Department of Athletics will serve to attract and retain well‐rounded student-athletes whose academic performance is representative of the student body as a whole, both upon entry to the College and at graduation. Vital areas of importance to the Department's mission include academic achievement, competitive and successful teams, integration of student athletes within the College and local community, hiring and retaining quality staff, consistent and exemplary service to all of its internal and external constituencies, and a strict adherence to NAIA and College policies. |
