The Marymount College Media Studies Advisory Board members advise the Media Studies program on program development, curriculum, career preparation, and student support to ensure that the program is rigorous, relevant and attuned to demands and realities beyond the classroom. The program benefits from the Advisory Board’s guidance in areas that include technology, internships, career preparation, guest speakers, student mentoring, capstone project review panels and ongoing dialogue on best practices.
Providing direction to the Marymount College Media Studies Advisory Board are the following local and nationally recognized professionals:
· Jack A. Allocco, three-time Emmy Award winning composer and Marymount College trustee.
· Ty Bobit, president and chief executive officer, Bobit Business Media.
· Ray Bravo, NBC and motion picture graphics designer; artist and illustrator.
· Tom Bruehl, retired Paramount Pictures senior vice president.
· Geoff Grotz, chief executive officer, Source Audio.
· Nathan Jones, director of the Long Beach Grand Prix.
· Terence O’Daly, president, Electric Arts and Media, a graphic design and Web site development firm
· Doug Wellman, director of facilities and operations, USC School of Cinematic Arts.
