Advisement + Transfer : California Articulation Number
Marymount College participates in the California Articulation Number (CAN) system. CAN assigns a number to each transferable, lower-division course commonly taught within each academic discipline on most California college campuses. The purpose of assigning a number is to identify easily courses that can be substituted for each other at different campuses. For example, a CAN 2 course on a participating campus will be accepted “in lieu of” the CAN 2 course on another participating campus. CAN courses are identified in the Marymount College catalog following the course description.
