| Congresswoman Maxine Waters and California State Senator Roderick Wright presented Marymount President Michael Brophy the Educator of the Year Award at the 74th Annual Installation Luncheon and Awards Presentations hosted by the Harbor City and Harbor Gateway Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Brophy received this award for his leadership of the college for its remarkable growth in enrollment, the addition of extension campuses in San Pedro and Lake County, and its commitment to serving both students and the community. |

| On Saturday, December 15, the Palos Verdes Sunset Rotary held their annual Christmas celebration where they honored Marymount College President Michael Brophy and his wife Tara Brophy. More than 140 guests attended the event at San Pedro's Grand Annex on Sixth Street. The Brophy's were lauded for their community service and for making a difference in local education and their commitment to service with local nonprofit organizations. Presenting a crystal vase gift and flowers to the Brophy's was emcee and Rotarian Don Reeves. In addition the Rotary presented the College with a scholarship check in the Brophy Family name. |

| Marymount College President Michael Brophy accepted the Bold Vision Award from the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce at its Annual Luncheon, Board Installation and Awards Ceremony at the Doubletree Hotel on June 15, 2012. Pictured with Dr. Brophy (center) is San Pedro Chmaber of Commerce’s Chairman of the Board Anthony Pirozzi and Chamber CEO Betsy Cheek. The College received this honor in recognition of the establishment of the Marymount College Waterfront Campus in the historic district of San Pedro. Dr. Brophy also serves on the Board of Directors for the San Pedro Chamber. |
